Description
Hand raised from heavy gauge beaten sheet copper, this example is derived from the form of the surai. The vase rests on a flaring and enclosed circular foot. Of baluster form, the vessel rises through a long tapering neck - the neck incorporates a plain opening at the upper extreme.
The surface is embellished with shaped panels of lancet and lotus petal form. The panels incorporate highly complex chiseled and chased floral scrollwork.
Height - 17 1/4" (438mm).
Weight - 2,097 grams.
Condition - Very Good. No dents or cracks, Minor surface marks etc. consistent with age and usage. Fine natural colour and patina.
