Cast in copper alloy using the 'lost wax' method, the box takes the form of a raised cylinder, resting upon an integral tripod foot. The stepped cover neatly locates within the box opening. A stylised porcupine forms the cover handle. The surface is finished with cast decoration - the decoration incorporating foliate designs and raised spiral motifs. Size: overall height - 5 1/4" (134mm), diameter - 4 1/2" (114mm). Weight - 966 grams Condition: Very Good. No repairs, surface marks etc. Signs of genuine age and usage.
