Sectionally cast in copper alloy (brass), the two figures of Lakshmi stand above an integral stepped rectangular plinth, the outstretched hands hold shaped integral butter oil pans, incorporating tapering projections, allowing a small wick to be positioned. Both figures are located by hand cut threading and corresponding threaded socketing to the raised plinth bosses. A scrolling hand grip / brace links the two standing figures - a pair of small hinged rings allow suspension of oil spoons. This example shows signs of sustained usage and has taken on a mellow patina. Size: height - 9 1/4" (235mm), max width - 6" (152mm). Weight - 1149 grams. Condition: Very Good. No cracks or losses.
