The precisely shaped and polished native hardwood case incorporates a double hinged cover. The hinge arrangement allows the cover section to fold back 'flat' to the level of the face base. Internally, a large compartment locates the shaped and polished stone, a second contains brushes and a third compartment contains an inscribed ink block. The stone may be removed from below via a hole to the base face - image 7. The stone face has retained the original hand written paper label. Case width - 6 5/8" (168mm). Total weight -302mm).
