Description

The tapering dense ebony wood shaft has retained the original polished black lacquered finish.
The tightly mounted heavy gauge and finely worked copper alloy hand grip section is of tubular 'ferrule' construction, incorporating a 'ball' type grip at the upper extreme. The mount is embellished with chiseled and chased foliate decoration, incorporating exotic birds - the grip embellished with celestial dragons and clouds - detailed by the additional images. The surface is gilt finished, with an infill of dense black lac to the recessed areas of tooling.
The lower extreme is capped with the original nickel plated brass ferrule - steel tipped.
Overall length - 36 1/2" (927mm).
Weight - 185 grams.
Condition: Very Good. No dents or cracks to the head. Some age related wear to the lacquer, (no retouches). Natural colour and patina throughout.
