The upper compartment, enclosed by a hinged cover, incorporates a single internal sub-compartment with cover. A pair of shaped drawers are positioned above and below the central section. A pair of hinged doors cover four internal short drawers - all of which are mounted with hinged brass handles. Ornate copper alloy fittings form hinges and decorative embellishments. The front face and internal drawers are finished with parquetry work, skilfully completed from exotic timbers. Finely finished inset lacquer-work panels complete the central doors. The remaining surfaces are black lac finished and incorporate simple gold lacquer work. Size: overall width - 9 1/4" (235mm), depth - 4 3/8" (112mm), height - 11 1/2" (292mm). Weight - 1324 grams.
