Carved and shaped from a single section of a dense native hardwood timber and of light and darker brown colour / patina. The slightly flaring grip area is finished with a tapering bored hole to the base extreme - a single cord piercing is mounted with a braided wrist cord. The heavy elliptical head gently tapers to the grip - this 'shaft' section is finished with fire 'charred' decoration, creating a deliberately mottled appearance. Some provenance available - email for further details. Size: overall length - 29 7/8" (759mm). Weight - 635 grams. Condition: Very Good, (untouched). Signs of genuine age, and usage over a considerable period of time - see images. No repairs. Fine natural colour and 'deep' patina. Internal Ref: O 1017
