Turned and hand carved from two sections of Miro-wood timber, (Thespesia Populnea) - the timber gathered from nearby Henderson Island. Both examples incorporate the form of a human hand gripping the integral inverted campana shaped vase element. The base rims are single letter punch inscribed, "SOUVENIR FROM PITCAIRN" to one example - the second inscribed, "PITCAIRN ISLAND". Height(s): 7 1/2" (190mm). Weight(s): 223 grams, 207 grams. Condition - Good. Chips to areas of the top rims. No restoration. Fine natural colour and patina. Internal Ref: O 1009
