Of octagonal baluster form, cast using the 'lost wax' process and resting on a recessed foot. The panelled convex cover is located by a recessed lip within the jar opening. Triangular 'petalled' elements form the cover rim, a tri-form top finial is cast at the upper-most extreme, (casting flaw to one branch). The surface is cast with raised scrolling foliate decoration - the scrollwork is divided by bands of stylised flower heads and geometric motifs. Overall height - 6 7/8" (168mm). Total weight - 218 grams. Condition: Good - Minor bruises and surfaces marks, typical casting flaws - no repairs. Natural colour and patina. Internal Ref: SEA 1072
