Shaped and worked from a section of native basalt hard-stone. This example has retained a hand painted collection number to the top face, (image 9).The axe is contained with in the previous owner's card box - as shown.
Height - 3 5/8 " (93mm), max width - 2 1/4" (57mm).
Weight - 290 grams.
Condition - Good. Chips and signs of wear from sustained usage. No restoration.
