Hand raised and worked from beaten sheet brass - the original brazed and burnished constructional seams can be clearly seen. This fine example is of baluster form and rests upon a fully enclosed, stepped and flaring circular foot. The broadest area incorporates 'spiralling' fluted decoration. A raised circular collar ornaments the waisted neck - the collar also finished with fluting. Bands of acanthus leaves embellish the foot rim, shoulder, neck and area below the upper opening. Height - 11 3/4", (298mm). Weight - 809 grams. Condition: Very Good. No dents or cracks. No repair work. Natural colour and patina. Internal Ref: IM 1013
