Description

Sectionally cast in brass / bronze, this fine example incorporates a double flanged lamp assembly, rising to form the butter oil pan - seven 'V' shaped projections locate suitable wicks. The example incorporates a 'lift-off' circular cover to the oil pan.
The suspension chain assembly incorporates a pair of resplendent peacocks as ornate linkage elements within the high complex array of castings. The upper most extreme incorporates a large 'crook' form hook - see images for full detail of the suspension chain. The cast elements are further embellished with hand chiseled and punched detailing.
The lower flange to the lamp assembly incorporates a punched inscription - see final image.
Overall height - 28 1/4" (715mm).
Total weight - 3028 grams.
Condition: Very Good. No cracks or dents - no repair work. Surface marks etc. associated from age and usage. Fine natural colour and patina.
