Created by the Gurunsi (Grunshi) people from the Kingdom of Dagbon, (northern Ghana and southern Burkina Faso). The heavy copper alloy casting was created using the 'lost wax' process. Repeating pellet motifs embellish the two broad edges at the opening. A large cast boss, chevrons and pellets are cast to the exterior of the base, (or 'bridge'). Size: max length - 3 3/4" (95mm), approximate internal max diameter - 2 5/8" 67mm). Weight - 298 grams. Condition - Very Good.
