Description

Hand raised and worked from a high grade silver - this example of fine quality. The hollow form centrally hinged spherical casing incorporates a central locking catch - an integral chain linkage, mounted with a hook at the upper most extreme, allows suspension.
Internally, The casing incorporates a self levelling 'gimbal' arrangement - the central element of which supports the burner cup.
The outer surface is finely decorated with chiseled and chased decoration. Birds and scrolling foliage embellish the intricately pierced casing.
Size: burner diameter- 2 1/16" (52mm), full suspended height - 6" (133mm).
Weight - 2.3oz Troy (72.62 grams).
Condition - Very Good. The decoration remains 'sharp' and 'crisp'. Minor surface marks, (consistent with age and usage) - no repairs. Natural colour and patina.
