Description
The moulded rectangular plinth section is integral to the hand constructed silver rest and base. The base is mounted with a cast silver model of a sailing yacht. The tapering silver pen holder is hinged at the base and may be rotated left or right, (height angle preset, with no further adjustment).The surfaces embellished with complex chiseled decoration, incorporating a central gul, surrounded by traditional scrolling floral motifs.
No Hallmarking to the upper surfaces, (possibly marked from below). This fine example was created in Esfahan during the early years of the 20th century.
Size: overall width - 4 1/4" (108mm) x depth - 3 1/4" (83mm) x height 2 5/8" (67mm).
Weight: 164 grams.
Condition: Very Good. No repairs - the decoration remains 'sharp & crisp'.
