A hand constructed and finished tombak, (gilt copper), coffee pot of traditional of baluster form. The vessel rests upon a raised circular flaring foot - the scrolling spout rising from the broadest region. The applied handle incorporates the cover hinge fulcrum. Of 'domed' form, the cover incorporates a cast crescent and star finial. The surface is embellished with chiseled geometrics and floral scrollwork - detailed by the additional images. This example has retained the original fine gilt finish, accentuated with selective bright tinning. Height - 8 1/2", (215mm), Weight - 386 grams. Condition - Good: Surface marks and ares of wear to the tinning etc (consistent with age). No dents or cracks. No repairs. Natural colour and patina. Internal Ref: IA 1106
