Each support takes the form of a makara - a pair of applied dragon heads form the side handles. The surface is finished with chased decoration, forming foliage and blossom - incorporating an exotic bird. The reverse is centrally struck with the maker's Chinese character mark:- - see images. Size: height - 4 1/2" (115mm). Weight - 154 grams. Condition: Very Good. Surface marks etc. - consistent with age. No major dents, no cracks. No repairs. Natural colour and patina.
