Sectionally cast in brass, this scarce example is of large size and impressive form - the individual components neatly soldered in position. The heavy base section is cast with pellets to the rim and bands of lotus petals to the shoulder area above a band of geometric piercing. The tapering central shaft is of octagonal section and incorporates an array of raised baluster and collar form embellishments. The upper most extreme incorporates a supporting platform. Concave in appearance, the platform is finished with simple decoration to the 'dished' interior. Overall height - 20 1/4" (515mm). Weight - 3,044 grams. Condition - Very Good. The usual minor casting flaws. No cracks or dents. Surface marks etc. associated with age and usage. Fine natural colour and patina. Internal Ref: IM 1016
