Description

Hand constructed from elements of cast and wrought silver, (fineness above 0.800).
The vessel is of baluster form and rests upon a pierced and chased circular foot. A threaded coupling locates the tapering upper section in place. Rising through a series of highly ornate baluster type embellishments, the panel sided neck curves to form the 'sprinkler' head. The head is precisely constructed in the form of an intricate flower head - the central area of which is drilled with piercings.
The inset area of the raised base is clearly stamped with the maker's mark, "SGK" - see images.
Height - 9 7/16" (240mm).
Weight - 6.33oz Troy (196.9 grams).
Condition - Very Good. The decoration remains 'sharp' and 'crisp'. Minor surface marks, (consistent with age and usage) - no repairs. Natural colour and patina.
Internal Ref: IM 1025
