Carved and shaped from a single section of dense of a native ironwood timber and of fine dark brown colour / patina. The grip area is finished with a knurled surface and incorporates a single cord piercing. The head gently tapers to the grip and is finished with panel carved embellishment at the tip, (the grip base also finished with corresponding panel cutting). Narrow channeled parallel fluting runs along the length of the club, (this finely tooled work was generally achieved using Possum teeth). Size: overall length - 25 3/4" (654mm). Weight - 359 grams. Condition: Very Good, (untouched). Signs of genuine age, incorporating a small (old) impact to the tip extreme - see images. Fine natural colour and 'deep' patina. Internal Ref: O 1012
