Description

Formed from two sections of turned native hardwood timber - the circular cover pressed mounting in position.
Sections of embossed silver strap-work are pinned in position - applied silver butterflies, also pinned, are mounted within the decorative latticework. The front face is mounted with a silver badge formed by a crown above the initials "ERJ" and a pair of crossed Kukri knives below.
A ceremonial royal headdress, created in silver, forms the central finial to the cover - a silver chain linkage couples the finial to a ring at the box opening. Three silver studs, incorporating crossed kukri's, encircle the finial.
Size: overall height - 7 7/8" (200mm), diameter - 3 1/8" (80mm).
Weight - 336 grams.
Condition: Very Good. No losses or repairs, (untouched). Fine natural colour and patina.
