The grip area incorporates a traditional stylised head type pommel - the face of which is inset with small sections of shaped and polished paua shell, forming the eyes. The broad face tapers outward from the centre, forming a 'fighting' edge around the overall club head. A pair of traditional 'notches' are incorporated at the edge mid-points - giving the Kotiate its very distinctive appearance. Size: overall length - 14" (350mm), max width - 5 3/4" (146mm). Weight - 351 grams. Condition: Very Good, (untouched). Signs of some genuine age. No cracks or restoration. Natural colour and 'deep' patina. Internal Ref: O 1016
