Description
Hand raised from heavy gauge beaten sheet brass, the bowl is of convex form and is complete with the original press mounting cover. The cover incorporates an integral 'mushroom' form knop, or finial.The surface is embellished with complex figurative decoration - chiseled and chased. The decoration features depicts as battling warriors and huntsmen. Selective tinning has created a striking 'two-tone' appearance to the decoration. Bands of lancet form motifs and lotus petals complete the decoration.
Size: Overall diameter - 7 3/4" (197mm), height - 7 1/2" (190mm).
Weight: 902 grams.
Condition: Very Good. No dents or cracks. Minor surface marks etc. consistent with genuine age and usage. No repair-work. Natural colour and patina.
