Hand raised and worked from sections of heavy gauge beaten sheet copper and cast brass.
The baluster form vessel rests upon an applied circular foot. The foot is enclosed at the base and incorporates fretwork piercing around the broadest area. Raised 'petal' form panels surround the central area, rising through a secondary baluster to the waisted support. The bowl section is also finished with hand cut fretwork piercing below the rim. A pair of cast and hand worked brass stylised dragons form handles to the bowl. The surface is chiseled with complex decoration - intricate floral scrollwork incorporates chinar leaves and other traditional design motifs. Height - 10 1/4" (260mm), max width - 11" (279mm). Weight - 1445 grams. Condition - Very Good. No cracks or dents - no repair work. Good natural colour and patina. Internal Ref: K 1028
