Intricate and complex chiseled decoration embellishes the cover face and also the four vertical faces to the box. Finely detailed figures of Qajar appearance are incorporated within shaped panels, positioned within a dense foliate scrollwork ground. A band of tooled decoration embellishes the otherwise plain base. An infill of black lac gives further definition to the tooled decoration. Size: Max width - 5 7/8" (149mm), depth - 3 1/4" (45mm), Height - 1 3/4" (45mm). Weight - 294 grams. Condition - Good. Minor bumps and surface marks, (associated with genuine age and usage).
